Lambing is a busy and nerve-wracking time at the farm and particularly so this year.
Sheep often require a little assistance with births - particularly if there are twins or triplets involved. Jack the shepherd has become skilled in turning lambs and easing them out.
We have had a few lambs needing bottle-feeding and intensive care as they have arrived too soon or the ewe has struggled to feed them.
We had 20 new lambs, with curly fleece from our Swiss Valais Blacknose ram, Matteo.
